Underlay, edging and shingling around the three dormers on the west-side mansard took up the whole day today. Its a lot of detail work, but it looks really good. With black, asphalt shingles you can imagine how hot this work is. Coupled with the fact that this is probably the hottest day we have had so far means that the team was working in less than optimal conditions. Nevertheless, they did a great job.
We are happy to have assistance from many sources. Victoria is visiting and had a chance to experience what paint stripping is like. I have more than enough experience with this, but will keep doing everything I can to help move the project along efficiently, effectively and economically.
